Another Kari Safari track, this time a demo from February 1985. It was recorded in a studio in Strathaven, an unusual building that looked like a large timber village hall with a sound room that bizarrely appeared to be another timber hut nested inside. The sound room was large and the owner (a cheerfully eccentric bloke as I recall) told us that he did a lot of pipe band work because of the available space. I'm also pretty sure that the interior was used for a couple of scenes in John Byrne's "Tutti Frutti". I think the place is long gone, I did a search online and found a reference to a Chinese restaurant in the town having been a former recording studio. Not even a blue plaque to commemorate Kari Safari recording there. The photos I've added here are not from that day, they're from a rehearsal session at Berkeley Studios in Glasgow.
